Cubo Projects was engaged by a return client to renovate a residential apartment within a heritage-listed Art Deco building in South Yarra. Despite existing scheduling commitments during the busy pre-Christmas period, our commitment to the client and the quality of the design intent saw us take on the job without hesitation.

The scope included a full bathroom strip out, new framing and plasterwork throughout the living and kitchen areas, relocation of all hydraulic and electrical services to suit, new herringbone timber flooring and new custom 2-pac joinery with natural stone benchtops to the kitchen and bathroom.

Further works included sheer curtain installation and the meticulous repair of all existing cornices and architraves to match the buildings original details.

With no lift access, all materials and fittings were hand-carried to the first floor—an added logistical challenge managed efficiently and without compromising quality or the tight programme. The project was delivered to the complete satisfaction of our client, who was delighted with the finished result.
